Penspen To Support Slug Catcher Replacement on ADNOC Plant in UAE

Penspen will also carry out engineering services on the Zirku Island plant.

Target Engineering Construction awarded Penspen a contract to support a slug catcher replacement project on Zirku Island in UAE.

The work is to replace the existing slug catchers at the Zirku Satah plant, operated by ADNOC Offshore, with new ones cladded with a corrosion-resistant nickel super alloy, including modifications to associated pipelines, instrumentation and control systems, electrical, civil, and structural works.

Penspen said it will carry out detailed engineering services, the scope of which includes a review of processes, loss prevention/technical safety, mechanical, piping, instrumentation and control, civil and structural, electrical, and corrosion/materials.

Zirku Island is one of two islands where ADNOC Offshore operates its oil and gas processing plants in the Arabian Gulf. The other is the Das islands.
