Eni announced a discovery at well 6608/10-17S offshore Norway in the PL128/128D licenses of the Norwegian Sea. The well encountered 91 ft of oil and gas with good reservoir properties in the Cretaceous sandstones of the Cape Vulture prospect. The size of the discovery has been preliminarily estimated at 70 million to 200 million bbl of oil in place, with additional potential to be evaluated. The company has an 11.5% interest in the well, which is operated by Statoil (63.95%). Petoro holds a 24.55% stake in the well.
