C-Innovation, an affiliate of Edison Chouest Offshore, has announced the opening of a new dock facility in Port Fourchon, Louisiana, aimed at expanding the capabilities of its subsea surfaces group formed in January.
With more than 550 ft of open quayside, Bayou Lafourche will be a main entrance into the facility, which will be supplied with a Manitowoc 777 crane and forklifts for rapid mobilizations of the company’s fleet of vessels for subsea construction and inspection, maintenance, and repair. The dock facility, which will be manned 24 hours a day, will serve as the base for the company’s Fourchon operations.
The subsea services group includes Chouest’s various port facilities, logistics company, tank cleaning services, shipyards, and dry docks, all located long the US Gulf Coast and Brazil. C-Innovation’s project management team provides engineering support, procedure development and review, project execution, and final reporting requirements. So far, it has performed flowline hydrate remediation for W&T Offshore’s Fastball project, as well as hydrate remediation for a flowline segment at Eni’s Longhorn gas field in Mississippi Canyon Blocks 546 and 502.
