GOM Offshore Pipeline Lifts Force Majeure After Hurricane Laura
Enbridge lifted its force majeure on the Garden Banks Gas Pipeline in the Gulf of Mexico and said it is back in service and available for nominations following the loss of communications from Hurricane Laura in late August.
The company declared force majeure on the Garden Banks line after inspecting the facilities and finding communications were down at the South Marsh Island 76 platform. A valve on the third-party operated South Marsh Island 128 platform was also closed when the platform was evacuated and kept the Sea Robin delivery point unavailable through 5 September.
The 1 Bcf/D Garden Banks pipeline extends from Garden Banks Block 128 to South Marsh Island Block 76 where it interconnects with four existing interstate pipelines to move gas onshore.
The pipeline also connects the Auger, Enchilada, Baldpate South Marsh Island, and the Magnolia platforms.
