Octavio Romero Oropeza

Mexico’s incoming president Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador named Octavio Romero Oropeza as CEO of Pemex. He will replace current CEO Carlos Trevino when the president-elect takes office in December. Romero was a government official during Lopez Obrador’s term as the mayor of Mexico City from 2000 to 2005. Lopez Obrador also named Rocio Nahle as energy minister and Alberto Montoya as deputy energy minister.
