SPE Student Members Selected Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society Scholars

Four SPE student members were selected for the Tau Beta Pi engineering honor society 2018-19 class of scholars. They will be awarded cash scholarships for their engineering study.

Selected SPE members are

Cody D. Keith, University of Alaska Fairbanks, Petroleum Engineering

Samantha M. Leshikar, Colorado School of Mines, Petroleum Engineering

Timothy B. Nysetvold, Brigham Young University, Mechanical Engineering

Ritabrata Santra, Mississippi State University, Petroleum Engineering

Tau Beta Pi Scholarships are awarded on the competitive criteria of high scholarship, campus leadership and service, and promise of future contributions to the engineering profession. Most recipients will receive a cash award of $2,000 for their senior year, and a few will receive $1,000 for one semester. The Tau Beta Pi is the second-oldest honor society in the US and represents the engineering profession. It has collegiate chapters in 247 engineering colleges in the US and active alumni chapters in 45 cities.
