Members of the student chapters and the young professional (YP) group within the SPE Argentina Section had a unique opportunity to interact with the SPE Board of Directors. The board held its annual meeting in Buenos Aires this past March and invited the section’s student and YP groups to attend, giving them an opportunity to see firsthand how things operate at the board level. Student-chapter and YP members were asked to present their organizations’ accomplishments and plans for the year.
Agustin Rodriguez Riccio spoke on behalf of the ITBA Student Chapter, focusing on activities that had taken place and goals for the coming year. The presentation is available at www.spe-itba.org. In all, the session with the board was very beneficial for all student-chapter and YP members in attendance, especially with the opportunity for communication and observation. SPE Board members gave a number of suggestions and shared their vision with their guests.
