The Sponsor Team for Young Petroleum Engineers’ Development (STYPED) Social Event is fast becoming a must on the calendar for SPE Italy’s young professionals group. Before leaving for the well- deserved summer vacation, STYPED organized a 2004–05 “going away” party on June 30. More than 150 young professionals joined together for the event. Invited were not only young SPE members, but also the people who have been participating in our activities throughout the year and those who were new in the industry and not familiar with SPE. One of the group’s main goals is to spread information about SPE as widely as possible.

Karma, one of the most stylish clubs in Milan, was the perfect place to express what STYPED wanted to communicate, with its open spaces and fresh, relaxed surroundings. Attendees got to know STYPED and experience its enthusiasm, and the doors of our association were opened to others to join us. Different faces, languages, backgrounds, positions, and nationalities were the cocktail ingredients that made the evening a time to relax and relate to each other. Thanks are due to the sponsors Baker Hughes, Halliburton, BJ Services, AVA, and Schlumberger. We could not have made it a success without their contribution and support.
