Canada Section News

The Canada Young Professional (YP) Section recently held an ambitious workshop for YPs in Kananaskis, Canada. Participants witnessed presentations from industry leaders and also showed their ingenuity and teamwork in a competition titled “Engineering 101.”

On the first day, a series of presentations provided the backdrop of the workshop, with the focus on heavy oil, tight gas, and unconventional gas. The session also included highly relevant and practical case studies. YPs responded with presentations of their own, which impressed the panel of judges consisting of the workshop speakers and planning-committee members. On the second day, YPs took part in an open panel session on international careers, generating some very interesting, informative discussions.

The Canada YP Section thanks everyone who helped make this event a success.
